Javier Carvajal – Biography
Javier Carvajal (Barcelona, 1926) He obtained the degree in architecture with extraordinary graduation Prize in 1953 by the school of architecture of Madrid. In 1973 He was appointed director of the school of architecture of Barcelona and in 1974, the architecture school of Las Palmas. He combined his teaching with the positions of Dean of the Colegio de Arquitectos de Madrid. From 1976 He was Professor of projects at the University of Navarra.
The numerous honors and distinctions received throughout his professional career include the fine arts medal in architecture section (1960); the Knight's cross of the order of Isabel la Catolica for services to Spanish architecture abroad; the prize for the best architecture international of the fair world of New York of the Institute of architects American (1964); and the Grand Cross of the order of Alfonso X el Sabio (1973).
